Starting our new house...or driveway

Well I decided to start a blog of our new house, our upcoming travels, and any other big or small adventures that come our way.  Might as well start out with our new house which actually started about a year ago, June 20, 2007.  Since Weaver Leather was building on, they had loads of dirt to get rid of and we needed loads of dirt for the house.  So we decided to make the driveway, which shares with Eugene's parents, and let the mountains of dirt wait there until the rest of the building would start.  This was very exciting, but then we had to wait for almost a year.  During that time we switched builders and house plans.  Dave Schlabach Custom Homes is now building our one story, european house.  Then starting this spring we began picking out things and making big decisions.  One was picking out the stone.  We went to a place near Mt. Hope that had samples of stone on the outside of their building.  They were building on and of course we liked the one right behind the Porta John!  As long as the Porta John doesn't show up right in front of our house.  :)
