Chippie, my new friend

Well since nothing has been done this week on the house, I've had some new excitement around.  His name is Chippie, my new chipper friend (or chipmunk).  It seems like every year there is a creature that likes to live at our house for the summer.  Last year it was 3 toads.  Todd the Toad, then Rhoda the Toada and in the fall Eli stopped by.  There were great!  They would live in the garage under the sink.  Here's a picture of Rhoda.  She was one crazy toad!  She must have needed some water and jumped up on Daisy's water dish.  Not once but twice!  Daisy did pretty good with the toads and I think they liked her.  I was always afraid she would accidentally step on one, but she didn't.  And by the way, Daisy has a new home.  She's doing great...she an inside dog, not as protective, and is playing with other dogs!  I'm so happy for her and still miss her.

So back to Chippie.  He is the cutest little thing!  Our first meeting was when I opened the front door and there he was on the sidewalk.  We both froze and had a moment.  And then one day I heard something scratching on the glass door and there he was again, scurrying around on the deck.  A few days later, he was back on the deck.  This is my favorite picture.  Can you see his cute little hand is on the glass door?  He runs on the railing, on our grill, and in the trees by the deck.  He's so wild and hyper.  I hope he's good while we're gone.  :)

Speaking of that, we're going to Kenya Africa on Tuesday.  I can't believe it's so soon.  We'll be there for 10 days.  So please pray for us.  Here's some prayer requests:

1. Safe travel and smooth flights (Eugene hates flying!)
2. That we have good health and are safe
3. That we are able to film everything we need and can capture the right emotion
4. Protection over all the equipment traveling and while we're there and that everything works good
5. That we would be a blessing to the people we meet
6. And that we can make the best promotional DVD for the Reckoning that we can
