Finally starting!

The big day finally came, May 6, 2008, when things finally got started on the new house.  They started excavating and did a great job.  We had a lot of dirt to move around and probably could have used a mountain of two more of Weaver Leather's dirt, but we'll make it work.  Seeing the house outline on the ground made it look smaller than what it is.  I started thinking that the spare bedrooms were way too small, but then I looked at the floor plans again and they're 12' x 12' which is a good size.  Sigh of relief!  I thought we were going to have to redo a lot of things.
Soon the basement was dug out, the footer laid, and covered with gravel.  Now come on mason crew and good weather.  Let's keep moving!
